Santa Clara, Calif. – September 9, 2026

Colovore, a pioneer in ultra dense, liquid-cooled data centers, has officially opened the first liquid-cooled AI data center on its RNO01 campus in Sparks, Nevada in the Reno metro area. Completion of the facility was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony involving community leaders, business leaders, contractors , Colovore executives, and members of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN).

This first data center on the RNO01 campus, which is fully leased by customers, provides 6MW of liquid-cooled infrastructure for next-generation AI and high-performance computing workloads. Colovore’s data centers are designed, built and operated in highly sustainable ways that meet the needs of customers while also protecting the resources of local communities. This RNO01 data center does not use any municipal water for cooling, thanks to its zero-water cooling design, and the facility is designed to maximize energy efficiency.

"This new data center on Colovore’s campus in Sparks is a major investment in Western Nevada that brings critical infrastructure for the regional economy,” said Taylor Adams, CEO of EDAWN. “Colovore has been a great partner in this process who is clearly committed to our community for the long term. They are making major investments that built out our infrastructure and drive job creation all while building facilities that protect water resources and emphasize sustainability.”

“Thank you to everyone who played a role in making this project possible, including our construction partners, local officials, and everyone at EDAWN who is committed to building the Reno and Spark economies in a responsible way,” said Mike Fulkerson, Vice President of Facilities & Operations at Colovore. “This data center delivers AI-ready infrastructure that supports high-density computing for our customers. And it is also critical infrastructure for the economy that drives prosperity for the community.”

A second data center is under construction on the RNO01 campus with projected completion in February 2027.

The location of the RNO01 campus supports low-latency applications for customers on the West Coast and the Rocky Mountain Region. This campus supports ultra-high-density deployments ranging from 5–600+ kW per rack via advanced direct-to-chip liquid-cooled architecture engineered for the latest GPU and accelerator platforms. In addition to its high credentials of Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) 0, the facility is targeting a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.3, enabling efficiency and sustainability requirements of enterprise AI at scale.

With more than a decade of operational experience in liquid cooling infrastructure, longer than any other provider in the market, Colovore continues to expand its footprint of sustainable and purpose-built AI colocation environments across high-demand U.S. markets.
